Leola

Leola Robenski, Customer Service Manager

Leola Robenski is the dedicated Customer Service Manager at Center Animal Clinic, where she focuses on ensuring a positive experience for every client and managing our incredible front desk team. With a hands-on approach, Leola is involved in the day-to-day operations, making sure things run smoothly. She’s passionate about her work and thrives in her dynamic role, knowing that no two days are the same. Leola’s lifelong love for animals is at the heart of her career. Growing up, her home was a haven for a variety of animals, from horses to raccoons. This connection led her to a role where she can continue to care for them alongside a team that shares the same passion. Whether she's helping a client with a question or supporting her team behind the scenes, Leola excels in bringing her love for animals together with her organizational skills. When she's not at work, Leola keeps busy with her family, including her eight grandchildren. They keep her on her toes and bring her endless joy. Her favorite moments at the clinic are when a wagon full of puppies comes through the door—the pure joy and excitement those little furballs bring is unmatched! What Leola loves most about her job is the strong sense of teamwork she shares with her colleagues. They genuinely care about animals and are committed to providing the best care for every patient. This camaraderie makes her role so rewarding. Inspired by Franklin D. Roosevelt's words, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself," Leola faces challenges with a brave and positive mindset. Known for humming or singing around the clinic (even if it's not always in tune!), Leola enjoys spreading cheer. If she could have any superpower, it would be telekinesis—imagine moving things with just a thought! It would make her busy job even more fun. Leola is thrilled to be part of such a wonderful team and looks forward to continuing her work, helping furry friends and their families every day.

Amber

Amber Grotefend, Chief Veterinary Technician

Amber Grotefend is the dynamic Lead Veterinary Technician and Operations Manager at Center Animal Clinic. With six years of experience since graduating from Vet Tech Institute Pittsburgh, PA in 2019, she brings a blend of expertise and genuine enthusiasm to her role.
A Certified Veterinary Technician in Pennsylvania and a Registered Veterinary Technician in Ohio, Amber's skills are top-notch. She holds certifications in abdominal ultrasound protocol, echocardiogram protocol, and laser therapy, demonstrating her commitment to advanced veterinary care.
Her professional interests span anesthesia, emergency and critical care, senior/geriatric patient care, and sonography. "I'm passionate about delivering the kind of care I'd want for my own furry (and feathered!) crew," Amber states. Her dedication to senior animals is particularly evident; she has a special place in her heart for their "soulful eyes."
Amber's journey into veterinary medicine began with a lifelong love for animals. Growing up surrounded by them, she naturally combined her passion with her interest in medicine. At home, she manages a lively menagerie, including three dogs (Lilly, Savannah, and Archie), four cats (Sage, Luci, Carmel, and Arlo), and a flock of chickens.
Outside of the clinic, you might find Amber hiking scenic trails, nurturing her garden, or enjoying the thrill of riding her side-by-side (SXS). She brings a well-rounded and dedicated approach to her work, ensuring every patient receives exceptional care.

Laurie

Laurie Fletcher,
Bookkeeper

Laurie Fletcher, known as "The Bookkeeper," has been an integral part of Center Animal Clinic since 1994. After retiring from her work in Pittsburgh, the clinic's former owners invited her to join their team part-time, and she's been a member ever since. Laurie is able to balance her role at the clinic with her work on the family farm, thanks to the flexibility the doctors provide.
Though she and her husband have lived in three other states, they've always kept their home here, where they ultimately decided to retire.
Laurie finds joy in getting to see and pet the clinic’s patients. She also values being part of the clinic’s new ownership and enjoys the collaborative spirit of the team. As she puts it, "Our team works well together — honestly!"
Her favorite quote, from Winnie the Pooh, reflects her lighthearted nature: "Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart."
If Laurie had a superpower, it would be to slow down time.
